Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026.

This policy explains what information Astral Novels collects when you visit,
and what we do with it. It is written to be readable, not to hide things.

Information we collect

• Pages you visit. Like most websites, our server records
  standard access information such as your IP address, browser type, and the
  pages you requested. This is used for security and to understand which
  stories are being read.
• Reading statistics. We count views per story and per
  chapter to generate rankings. These counts are aggregate — they are not tied
  to an identified person.
• Comments. If you leave a comment, we store the name and
  email address you provide, along with the comment itself. Your email is not
  published or sold.
• Cookies. We use cookies to keep the site working (for
  example, remembering that you dismissed a notice) and to cache pages so they
  load faster.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which stories are read and where readers
come from. Google Analytics sets cookies that collect information such as the
pages you view, how long you stay, and roughly where you are (country or city
level). The data is reported to us in aggregate and does not identify you by
name. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the official
browser add-on.

Advertising

This site is free to read and is supported by advertising.

• We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Third-party vendors,
  including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to
  this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve
  ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the
  Internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting
  Google Ads Settings,
  or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised
  advertising at
  aboutads.info/choices.
• The DoubleClick cookie is used by Google, in some cases, to
  serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites. You can opt out of
  the DoubleClick cookie at the same Google Ads Settings page.
• Where required by law, we ask for your consent before non-essential
  advertising cookies are set — that is what the cookie banner is for.

For more detail on how Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or
apps, see
Google’s Privacy & Terms.

Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland,
we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Consent — for advertising and analytics cookies, and for
  any optional marketing email. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests — for keeping the site secure,
  preventing abuse, and counting anonymous page views.

How long we keep data

• Server access logs: up to 90 days, then deleted or anonymised.
• Comments and the name/email you submitted with them: kept until you ask us
  to remove them.
• Account data (if you register): kept while your account is open, and for a
  short period afterwards.

Your rights

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, you have the right to:

• request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct inaccurate data;
• ask us to delete your data (“right to erasure”);
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of
  processing already carried out;
• lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email
contact@astralnovels.com. We respond within 30 days.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not require an account to read.
• We do not send marketing email without your consent.

Your choices

You can block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may
stop working as intended. If you have left comments and want them removed, email
contact@astralnovels.com.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
their information.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top
of this page.
